Tuesday 17th March: Lucky 15 Most Backed Horses

These are the horses that have moved most in the market as of 9am. We have put together an ACCA of these horses to win or to be placed. Please read all the analysis from the racing post below, these horses are getting backed in, in most cases or there maybe non runners in there races. All prices correct at time of publishing

13:50 Down Royal – 1st Show 2.25/1 to Last Show 2/1

Made a couple of mistakes but stayed on in very encouraging fashion to be third behind two subsequent winners in a Navan maiden hurdle last month; should improve a deal for that and certainly one of the ones to beat here.

The Horse – Now Where Or When

Our Pick – Now Where Or When To Win

14:35 Wetherby – 1st Show 0.73/1 to Last Show 0.63/1

Comfortably won soft-ground Southwell bumper on rules debut in December and was very creditable second to smart rival in 15-runner novice hurdle at Chepstow (2m3f, heavy) later that month; tongue-tie on; the one to beat.

The Horse – Global Fame
Our Pick – Global Fame To Win

16:20 Wetherby – 1st Show 1.38/1 to Last Show 1.25/1

Ran out two starts ago but circumstances, rather than any quirkiness, appeared the main factor; had previously finished a good second on first two chase starts (3m, good/soft) and wasn’t disgraced in a warm Newbury handicap when last seen in December; wears first-time cheekpieces and is respected for trainer who won this two years ago.

The Horse – Commodore Barry

Our Pick – Commodore Barry To Win

 15:45 Wetherby – 1st Show 3.5/1 to Last Show 3/1

Won at Uttoxeter (2m, heavy) in December after a layoff and didn’t settle when soundly beaten at Newbury (2m, heavy) in January; the first-time hood could be a calming influence today and he retains potential.

The Horse – Present From Dubai

Our Pick – Present From Dubai To Win

All our picks come to a 41/1 EW ACCA HERE

Victory Chime

Made winning reappearance at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) last month and solid fourth places the next twice, every chance he’ll be in the mix.

Gale Force Maya

Won three in a row at 6f on fast and slow ground last summer and has found more progress with her five consecutive placed efforts since, on same mark as for her second in a Class 2 at Pontefract (6f, Auchterarder fourth) last Thursday and was also runner-up in this race last year, should be in the thick of things.

Dark Jedi

Having a good season for new stable, winning twice (1m1f/1m2f) and posting good second places on his last two runs (1m4f/1m6f), most recently in the competitive Old Borough Cup, bang there once more if conditions suit (something to prove if the ground is fast).

Beaten five times since his debut win in June but form is pretty good, including seconds in a Listed race (5f), two Group 2s (both 6f) and latest second in valuable sales race at Doncaster (6.5f) when staying on well and giving the strong impression that 7f may well suit, very much respected.

Returns and odds correct at time of publishing.
