Sunday 22nd March: Lucky 15 Most Backed Horses

These are the horses that have moved most in the market as of 9am. We have put together an ACCA of these horses to win or to be placed. Please read all the analysis from the racing post below, these horses are getting backed in, in most cases or there maybe non runners in their races. All prices correct at time of publishing

14:10 Downpatrick – 1st Show 1.75/1 to Last Show 1.63/1

Generally very consistent and certainly wasn’t winning out of turn two weeks ago at Naas, having previously finished second at Navan behind Francin, a winner at that venue last weekend; looks to have been nicely placed here; one of the leading contenders.

The Horse – The Very Man

Our Pick – The Very Man To Win

14:40 Downpatrick– 1st Show 9/1 to Last Show 8.5/1

Took real step in the right direction at Leopardstown over Christmas when just touched off in 25-runner novice handicap hurdle; probably would prefer softer ground than he experienced at Thurles last time when fourth; still fairly unexposed so is feared.

The Horse – Accidental Rebel
Our Pick –
Accidental Rebel To Win

13:10 Downpatrick – 1st Show 7/1 to Last Show 6.5/1

Took a big step forward on his previous form when breaking his duck in a valuable novices’ handicap chase at Navan last time over 3m; up 14lb for that easy win and also up 4f in trip but this big horse is just getting the hang of the game and should have more to come.

The Horse – Jimmil

Our Pick – Jimmil To Place

 16:10 Downpatrick– 1st Show 2/1 to Last Show 1.88/1

8yo making up for lost time this season, now 3-3 between the flags overall; won Dromahane point-to-point as 6yo in December 2018 before missing just under a year and getting the better of useful Samurai Cracker on comeback at Kirkistown last November; comfortable win at Farmaclaffley last month makes him a major player here for in-form trainer.

The Horse – On The Sod

Our Pick – On The Sod To Win

All our picks come to a 133/1 EW ACCA HERE

Good Reception

Not disgraced on Punchestown bumper debut in June 2019 when sent off 7-1 and finishing eighth of 18, but didn’t progress as hoped when disappointing at Ballinrobe (SP 7-2) later that summer; however, got back on track when 50-1 on return from a year off, coming home well for second in weak maiden hurdle; leading player here.

Newton Abbot

Bob Pebble

Promising second in an Irish bumper last September but outpaced in the closing stages when third on last month’s stable debut at this course; likely to find opportunities over hurdles and serious threat if all goes well.

Newton Abbot

Has proved a revelation over hurdles this summer and completed a hat-trick in good style at Stratford two weeks ago; has a 21lb penalty to defy but might still be up to the task given the manner of her wins.

Scotsmans Bay

Was running a decent race at Limerick last time when unseating rider two out, having moved into third place; if avoiding errors today then he can run well.
