Tuesday 24th March: Lucky 15 Most Backed Horses

These are the horses that have moved most in the market as of 9am. We have put together an ACCA of these horses to win or to be placed. Please read all the analysis from the racing post below, these horses are getting backed in, in most cases or there maybe non runners in their races. All prices correct at time of publishing

14:00 Clonmel- 1st Show 6.5/1 to Last Show 5.5/1

Loughrea point-to-point winner last October; ran well in defeat at Aghabullogue and Belharbour; faced tough task on bumper debut at Gowran won impressively by Bob Olinger; one of the more obvious contenders at this level.

The Horse – Elusive Star

Our Pick – Elusive Star To Place

15:00 Clonmel – 1st Show 3.33/1 to Last Show 3/1

Front-runner who is 0-15 but has run some good races in defeat and there’s nothing wrong with his attitude; beaten just a short head here (2m2f, heavy) last time and no surprise if he gets off the mark today; up 3lb.

The Horse – Shantou Sisu
Our Pick – Shantou Sisu
 To Win

15:30 Clonmel – 1st Show 8/1 to Last Show 7/1

No better than fifth across his five hurdle starts but there were signs of promise and it will be interesting to see how this unexposed 6yo goes in the betting on his chase debut; second reserve.

The Horse – Dawson’s Gate

Our Pick – Dawson’s Gate To Place

 17:00 Clonmel– 1st Show 1.63/1 to Last Show 1.5/1

Ran twice in points for Mouse Morris; shaped well on bumper debut at Thurles in January; confirmed promise at Fairyhouse last month and form could hardly have worked out better; winner Ferny Hollow landed the Champion Bumper, and second On Eagles Wings won well at Limerick.

The Horse – Frontal Assault

Our Pick – Frontal Assault To Win

All our picks come to a 70/1 ACCA HERE

Dr Sanderson

Best form on good/good to soft ground, triple hurdle winner, and although the switch to fences was anything but seamless last winter, he hardly put a foot wrong when impressing in 2m3f novice handicap at Plumpton in October, up 7lb, and this race is warmer, but still deserves plenty of respect.

Count Meribel

Made a bright start to chase career in November 2018 over 2m4f on good, has shown his form only once in six starts since and has a bit to prove in a quality handicap of this competitiveness, but his unseat at Ascot one week ago was in the early stages and this does look a competitive mark.

Tham Luang

0-12 on the Flat but in good form in three of his four starts around here over the last couple of months, only beaten 3l when second of 14 over C&D last week and a repeat of that should put him in the mix.

Fortune Finder

Showed ability on 1m4f debut for John Gosden in March and again when staying on to nab third late on in 1m course maiden in September, step back up in trip looks sure to suit and he appeals as a likely improver now making a quick switch to handicaps, interesting.
